Spike Lee Doesn’t “Do The Right Thing”
Spike Lee was outraged over the killing of unarmed Florida teen, Trayvon Martin, at the hands of neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman. So much so, the “Red Hook Summer” director Tweeted out what he thought was Zimmerman’s address, back in March. Well, the address he shared with over a half million of his followers actually belonged to elderly couple David and Elaine McClain, who had nothing to do with the incident. The couple is now now suing Lee with claims that he’s put their lives in grave danger.
TMZ reports that in the lawsuit, the McClains say they received numerous death threats and hate mail and feared for their lives as their address was re-Tweeted countless times. SMH. I understand being upset about this tragedy, but to Tweet someone’s personal address when you have as much influence as SPIKE LEE is just irresponsible. We’ll keep you posted with what the couple wins.

HumpDashians -- sure looked like a winner.
"She’s a fame whore for hire who became fabulously wealthy not for her looks, brains, sex appeal or talent. But for the super-sized quality of her protruding butt. He’s tall, dark, athletic and exceptionally, stupendously, over-the-top dumb. The only mystery remaining is how any human so lacking in brain function could summon the ability to walk upright. On paper, the marriage between the iconic pair, Kim Kardashian, already a divorcée at 31, and Kris Humphries, a pup of 26 -- the short-lived HumpDashians -- sure looked like a winner. For here was a phony, cooked-up union, sold to an unwitting public as a real-life fairy tale. Now we know that the marriage was a complete and utter sham. It was a pairing born in an agent’s office, and spawned in amoral Hollywood. Then, it drove to the finish line wrapped in a dank hell where sacred, holy matrimony is nothing more than a cynical money-making enterprise." Not only was Andrea Peyser's piece on point, but it's finally good to see someone come out and speak the truth. Reality TV is not REALITY... LET'S SEE WHO STANDS UP TO SHOW REAL IN THE WORLD.

Black-owned banks are struggling to remain relevant
Black-owned banks are struggling to remain relevant and during difficult economic times, according to a report by HuffingtonPost.com
The number of black-owned banks across the nation is shrinking– almost half of the banks closed in the past two decades.
HuffingtonPost.com reports:
Their traditional customer base — lower and middle class blacks, small business owners and churches — has been disproportionately affected by high unemployment, leaving customers with less money to deposit and, in turn, leaving many of these smaller financial institutions with less capital to reinvest in their communities. As customers have fallen on hard times or fallen behind in their loan repayments or mortgages, home foreclosures have become a nagging issue, hamstringing banks’ portfolios with toxic loans
